I completely agree with this. With every child we've had, I've grown in ways I didn't know I needed to. The love is abundant, efficiency and creativity are at all time highs even though the world may not get to see those. It's a gift to be a mother.

“It’s not like I’m a part-time mum just because I sometimes let my kids with my husband so that I can get some work done… I’m ALWAYS a mum, just like I’m ALWAYS an artist, even when I’m not physically making art.” THIS✨✨✨✨ such an important mindset shift 💕

Yay I’m so glad this resonated with you Megan!! It’s mindblowing to me how most downplay their creative work when IT IS perhaps the most important work! 💖

Elin for the longest time I was really scared to have kids. I've had people recently tell me that, yes, while it is difficult, it's also so beautiful. It adds so many colors to your life, they say. For the first time ever, I'm more excited than scared to be a Dad! Thanks for confirming this. I love your perspectives.

I love this perspective/this shift you offer here, Ellie - looking at motherhood as an enrichment, not a sacrifice. I think many women lose their identity in the “role” of mother. While you can devote yourself to being a mom, that doesn’t mean you lose all the other things that light you up - the kindling of your hearts desires are still there, worthy of a poke.

Yes you’re so right about this Allison! I wonder how much of this is due to a conditioning that we think we must choose this or that instead of embracing all our parts 🫶🏼

That's totally it. We are conditioned to think we can't have both or all of it.
