You’re absolutely right,

They’re only bad if they turn bad in our minds.

I find their usefulness to be fluctuating depending on my emotional and creative seasons… what about you?

That is true, sorry for stating the obvious lol but I tend to focus on my writing more so than the metrics post 1000 subs.

But I also notice if I’m feeling off, I’ll dwell on the metrics.

I don't even monetize my Substack because it was created as a response to all the algorithms and metrics and everything elsewhere in my life that made me say F*CK IT, I'm writing whatever I want! So... I'm really not paying attention to them here.
