Yes, i have a favourite coffee mug! It's smaller than a standard mug. I bought it at a supermarket in the very North of Italy when I was moving from place to place with a 2 year old and 6-month old.

There were lots of challenging things about that time but really, one of the worst was that many air bnbs only had espresso cups and I couldn't have a proper (English) cup of tea or big cup of coffee. That's a crutch for me when the rest of my life is chaos, so I bought the small mug for coffee and a large one for tea and is pack them and take them wherever I went. The large tea mug got left behind one time but the coffee mug is still with me 🩷

Oh I adore to hear this story Rahma; thank you so much for sharing! I totally feel your pain, having a big enough mug is essential. Ironically my husband (he’s French) recently had to go and buy an espresso cup because I seem to have lost them all during our moves in favor of the big…. 🫣 what a magical coffe cup you’ve got ✨

I have two mugs in which coffee tastes better: one of them is made of clay decorated with the face of girl, whose hair is a an orange tree (I left it in Shiraz, my hometown in my grandma's house). I have a ceramic white mug decorated with flowers. I love it because i bought it myself, it wasn't a gift from sb (I drink coffee in it every day and also, i wash it with my gloves before other dishes.

Oh thanks for sharing Negar! The additional dishing treatment sounds like a ritual of self care in itself - caring for the special aspect of the daily ritual, I love that 💖🥰

You're welcome, Elin. Yes, i do it for self-care. Also, I want to preserve it as much as possible because i'm a good keeper of things.

I definitely have a favourite mug! Quite a few, actually… I call them my ‘bougie’ mugs (I don’t know if that word translates…) - they’re nicer than most of our mugs and I consider them my little slices of luxury in all the mess of toddler motherhood!

I’ve learnt that so much in motherhood is a season that will pass 🥰 helps me get through the tough times at least!

I am *loving* it. It’s grown quicker than I thought and I’ve met some really lovely people. It’s becoming a super supportive community 🥰

I agree with you about having a favorite mug! Mine is a hand thrown pottery mug made by a local artist. The shape of the handle is perfect and it holds just the right amount of coffee. Coffee and tea just taste better in a special mug!

Oh I love the description of that, as if I can feel it! My favorite last year (you’re allowed to change, right? Haha) was a similar style from a local artist in south of France ✨ this one is embarrassingly more industrial but the colours are just giving me energy this time 🥰🥰❤️
